How to convert an image to SVG

Choose an image, inspect the trace and download the SVG you edited.

  1. Start with clear artworkChoose or drop a PNG, JPG or WebP logo, icon or illustration. Tracing starts automatically.
  2. Look a little closerCompare with the original and zoom in to check edges, colors and gradients.
  3. Make it yoursAdjust Detail and Smoothness, then apply settings to retrace. Select shapes to change their fill or delete them; Undo restores edits.
  4. Take your SVGDownload the vector you edited. Editable paths, no watermark.

Photos, textures and complex gradients may turn into many separate shapes. Inspect the result before exporting.

Raster to vector

Editable paths from your PNG, JPG or WebP

This image vectorizer traces pixel-based artwork into SVG shapes. The result contains vector paths rather than a bitmap embedded inside an SVG file. Use it for logos, icons and illustrations with clear edges and distinct colors.

PNG to SVG with transparency

Start with a transparent PNG when you want to keep a transparent background. Check the result against the checkerboard, white or black preview. Vectorization approximates edges and opacity; it does not remove a background from an opaque image.

JPG and WebP to SVG

Static JPEG and WebP images use the same workflow. Clear artwork usually traces better than a compressed screenshot or photograph. JPEG noise, textures and soft shadows can become many small shapes, and an SVG may be larger than the original image.

Free download, local processing

No account, payment or watermark is required. Your image, filename and SVG stay in your browser. The tool sends lightweight usage metadata, such as file type, size and processing duration, but does not upload image content.

Inspect before you export

Compare the original and vector, zoom in and adjust the tracing settings. You can recolor or delete a shape and undo edits. One shape may contain several regions of the same color; changing a gradient fill replaces it with a solid color.

Image limits and tracing quality

Choose one static PNG, JPG or WebP up to 25 MB and 16 megapixels. Animated PNG and WebP are not supported. Large images are reduced to at most 1 megapixel and 1,600 pixels on the longest side for tracing; the editor shows the reduced dimensions.

Simple gradients may become SVG gradients. Complex shading and photographs can turn into color bands or separate shapes. SVG scales without a fixed pixel grid, but tracing cannot recover detail missing from the source. This is a focused shape editor, without node editing or drawing tools.

Editor controls

Scroll or pinch to zoom. Drag the image to pan, or focus the canvas and use the arrow keys.

In Compare, drag the divider handle or use the slider below. Focus the handle and use Left/Right to adjust it.

In Vector, click a shape or browse with the shape arrows. A shape may include several regions of the same color.

Delete removes the selected shape. Escape deselects it. Ctrl/Cmd + Z undoes an edit; Shift + Ctrl/Cmd + Z redoes it.
